When BT first won the rights to show premier league matches on TV, we needed to catch people’s attention and let them know that a new player was in town. To do this we devised the ‘turf wars’ proposition, purposely placing us head-to-head with Sky in order to generate buzz and word- of-mouth for the new product.

As part of this suite of activity, we produced one of the most eye-catching direct marketing concepts of the year, delivering strips of astro turf through the door of unsuspecting prospects from our database, with accompanying information about the new football offering from BT.
